I’ve been dabbling in photography for a couple of years now. I love taking photos and experimenting with a camera. I recently received a promotion to Jr. Photographer at Zappos.com and I developed a new-found desire to develop a style of my own and learn everything that I can about photography, lighting, and my own creativity.
A few days ago a coworker of mine suggested that I take at least one photo per day for an entire year. Personally, I think this is a great idea. Doing this will allow me to see my progress over a period of time and inspire me to continue to grow. I think it may be difficult at first to do this every day, but I’ve asked my wife to remind me if I forget. (Let’s hope she doesn’t forget!)
Currently, I have very little equipment. I’m shooting with a Canon 10D that I bought from one of my coworkers. I have a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lens that I shoot with. It’s the first and only lens that I’ve bought for it thus far, but I have plans to increase my range of lenses as well as my equipment.
So, tomorrow my journey begins and I’m excited. Expect a new photo every day for the next 365 days, and likely further. I’m looking forward to seeing what I learn and what I’m able to produce.
